You’re exhausted from the intrusive thoughts, the flashbacks, nightmares and hypervigalance. You just want to make them stop. You wish you could focus on the things you love, but your past keeps standing in your way. You’ve survived through so much and you’re on the other side, but you can’t figure out how to get those memories out of your head. There are parts of you that know you are strong and smart and worthy, but those other parts, the old voices who tell you you’re worthless, still speak to you. Without help, you’ll continue to hear that old inner critic; it will wear you down and your ability to function will increasingly decline. You won’t be able to engage in your meaningful relationships, your profession or your even the simplicity of enjoying life.
I help empaths who have gone through eating disorders, sexual abuse, physical trauma, relationship and attachment struggles and emotional pain. I am trained to get at the roots of post traumatic stress disorder, anxiety and depressive disorders and other difficulties. I utilize multiple trauma resolution techniques including an evidence based technique called Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing so that you can find relieve from PTSD symptoms.

Finding an EMDR & Trauma Therapist Near Me
Trauma Resolution versus Trauma Symptom Management
In order to create safety for yourself and in your therapeutic work, you need just the right fit. Many people claim to work with trauma, but if your personalities don’t align, then what’s the use? If you found a therapist, but they aren’t trained in RESOLVING trauma, rather than helping you MANAGE THE SYMPTOMS, it’s not the right fit for you. Many modalities are great at helping people manage their trauma symptoms. We provide many here at Spilove Psychotherapy like DBT, CBT and other tool based approaches. We love using these modalities to help our clients stabilize and gain agency over their PTSD symptoms. Here at Spilove, we are dedicated to helping our clients get at the roots of their symptoms so that you can resolve the underlying causes of the trauma. Our team is trained specifically to help you resolve your trauma at the roots. I am specifically trained to work with the underlying roots of the trauma AND to intensely work with you to target specific traumas and work with you rapidly towards trauma resolution. In this way, we can clear out traumatic material so that there are no further symptoms to manage. Finding a trauma therapist near by that will do more than talk to you about your traumatic memories is important for resolving PTSD symptoms. Learn more about what EMDR therapy can do here.

My name is Tiffany Spilove, I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and I am trained to guide you through healing your trauma or PTSD using EMDR and a Client Centered Depth Psychology approach. I love working with all sorts of people, especially the LGBTQ community. I work with all sorts of struggles including attachment wounds, anxiety and rumination, life changes, and with empaths and other healers. I am trained in various ways to resolve the symptoms of PTSD and eating disorders including working with the Inner Critic and other internal parts of the self. I sometimes use Narrative and Solution Focused Therapy. I also like to use Transpersonal psychology or Humanistic Psychology, some Psychodynamic or systems work and I meet clients from a Client Centered approach. I’ve found that my clients like the efficiency and potency of EMDR because it works fast and effectively to resolve their trauma.
